The Canon imageCLASS MF743Cdw is an outstanding color laser printer for small offices however, it's hard to find because it's discontinued. Also, it might be hard to find in stock at some retailers.
However, it prints slower, and it doesn't yield as many pages. It prints much nicer photos with better color accuracy. The Canon PIXMA G7020 is a slightly cheaper alternative to the Epson EcoTank ET-3850. Its scanner features are superb, and it prints very quickly, but its page yields and cost-per-print are much worse than the Brother MFC-J4535DW. The Epson WorkForce Pro WF-4830 is a very good printer for family use. Connectivity options include USB, Wi-Fi, and Ethernet, and it can also print directly from a USB flash drive. It has an ADF-equipped, high-resolution scanner that can perform duplex scanning however, it requires two passes, so you'll still have to flip the pages when scanning double-sided documents. It churns out 25 black or color pages per minute and has two input trays that hold a total of 550 sheets of paper, which means you can complete large print jobs quickly with minimal interruptions. It isn't the most color-accurate, but printed pictures still look good, with lots of fine details and vibrant colors. The benefit of getting an inkjet printer over a laser one is that inkjet printers print better-looking photos, and this is no exception.
